Abe Jones has spent his entire career helping others. Now he is ready go to work with our state’s leadership to provide the very best for all of us.
Abe Jones is a native of North Carolina and attended Wake County Public Schools, serving as the first black student council member at his high school. Abe went on to attend Harvard College, Harvard Law School, and currently, has almost 40 years of legal experience. After clerking for a federal judge in DC, Abe returned home to work with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the Attorney General’s Office, and as an Administrative Law Judge. After he was appointed to the Superior Court by Governor Hunt in 1995, he was re-elected twice, serving 17 years behind the bench.
